A well made Kannada film by debutant director Vinay Preetham ‘Madamakki’ released in the last week got rave reviews for the making but it is struggling to exist in the theatres.

The team of ‘Madamakki’ was present to explain the ordeals of the system the Kannada film is living today.  Producer cum hero Tanush stated that the excess of time and excess of Rs.2 crore budget (it is Rs.4 crore budget) was beyond expectations.

The happy news for Thanush is that the remake rights have been sought for Telugu and Tamil while Hindi dubbing rights are also inquired. Meanwhile the cinema is covering the theatre rent till now he admits. The release of the film in the B and C center would happen soon.

According to Thara, senior actress, sitting MLC and mother in the film some policy changes have to take place for saving this kind of film. At KFCC some changes are must she feels. The pathetic situation for Kannada films should be sorted out. For non language films theatre set up allocate 350 to 400 screens. For Kannada it is not ready fetch forty theatres is the situation. When they come up with license for building malls and theatres they promise to allocate Kannada films. That is not happening Thara Anuradha expressed her dissatisfaction.

Kiran Hampapura thanking media for good support promised to work very hard in his future.
